This insurance serves as a valuable supplement to the compensation provided by the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan) in the event of a long-term illness, ensuring that you feel secure and covered at work.
Beyond health insurance, employees also receive access to a specialized policy called Personal Protection and Comeback. This policy provides all employees with health insurance access to rehabilitative assistance and preventive health services—completely free of charge. If you are on sick leave for at least 25%, the health insurance provides financial compensation after a qualifying period of 90 days. Payments are made monthly and are based on the degree to which your ability to work is reduced due to illness, continuing until you return to work or, at most, until your agreed pension age.
